Former Armenian Eurovision entrant Sirusho, and Junior Eurovision Song Contest winner Vladimir Arzumanyan will be the guest start of this year’s contest, which takes place on 3 December in Yerevan.
Sirusho represented Armenia in 2008 with “Qele Qele”, and holds Armenia’s highest Eurovision placing to date after coming fourth. She has since married, although the song continues to receive airplay around Europe. The star attraction will almost certainly be Vladimir Arzumanyan. His victory last year gave Armenia its first win in a Eurovision event and, although the winning country doesn’t automatically host the following year’s Junior Eurovision, he has undoubtedly made the event more popular in his homeland.
Rehearsals begin on 29 November in Yerevan
